Trademarks and works
"APA," "APA Style" and "Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association" belong to the American Psychological Association. They are mentioned here only to identify the rules we explain.
Content
The text and examples on this site are original. The example data (authors, titles, publishers, links) are fictional. No text from the manual is reproduced.
Liability
The information is for guidance. Before submitting a paper, confirm the rules with the official APA Style guidance and your institution's requirements. We are not responsible for grades or academic decisions that result from using these guides.
Privacy
The controller of this website is normasapa.com.es. The site does not ask for personal data or require an account. The reference generator runs in your browser and does not send what you type to a server. The bibliography manager keeps your projects in your browser's local storage; only if you use autofill is the DOI or ISBN you type sent to Crossref or Open Library to look up the data.
If you write to us from the contact page, we use your message and email address only to reply. We do not pass them to third parties. You can ask us to delete them by writing to the same address. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
Advertising
normasapa.com.es may be funded by Google AdSense ads. Ads appear next to the content with the label "Advertisement" and are never mixed with answers or examples. Google and its advertising partners use cookies or device identifiers to show ads, measure their performance and, if you agree, personalise them based on your visits to this and other sites.
The advertising code loads only if you accept advertising cookies. If you reject them, nothing from Google Ads is loaded and you can read all the content just the same. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and manage personalised ads at adssettings.google.com. The consent notice may be the site's own or the Google message, a certified consent management platform. In both cases you can change your choice from "Cookie settings". If advertising is not active right now, this section describes what will happen once it is.
Cookies
The site shows a cookie notice and does not load third-party statistics or advertising until you accept them. We separate two types:
- Statistics: measure how many people read each guide so we can improve it. They are turned on only if you accept them.
- Advertising: used by Google AdSense and its partners to show and measure ads. They are turned on only if you accept them.
Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage, in an entry named normasapa.consent.v1, until you change it or clear the site's data. You can change or withdraw it at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. Google services process data under their own policies.
